Here you can find the latest UK student accommodation news headlines for the week ending the 15th February 2012:

London Development On Schedule

9th February 2012: A new development of student housing in Whitechapel, London is on track to open by September this year. Despite the difficult financial climate, the project has continued to push forward and will provide 187 beds of student accommodation in London.

The development will provide rooms for both UK students and accommodation for international students. For £850million it is a huge investment, but with the student property market still on the rise and most top London universities thriving, backers are still confident it will pay off.

Accommodation is scarce in the capital, with huge numbers of students studying at colleges in London and English courses in London. Equally, scholarships for international students allow many to have a budget to afford some better quality housing.
