Founded in 1894, Newcastle College is the largest Further and Higher Education College in the UK, with a total of over 30,000 students from more than 40 countries around the world. It offers more courses in more subjects than any of its competitors and was one of only three institutions to receive an ‘Outstanding' ranking from Ofsted (the UK school rating agency) in 2004.
Due to its wide ranges of courses, the college is able to offer international students everything from university preparation programmes, right up to postgraduate Masters. The Higher Education courses are validated by the Leeds Metropolitan, Newcastle, Northumbria and Sunderland Universities and students of the college have access to the facilities of their relevant university.
The college has several main campuses in and around the city of Newcastle which provide students with state of the art learning facilities such as the new £16 million Sandyford building specifically for postgraduate international students. Students also have a number of options
for accommodation, including homestay, residential self-catering and private halls.
