Graduate Design Engineer

Mech Tech Professionals is actively recruiting for a Graduate Design Engineer for our security fencing client based in Caerphilly.

The main purpose of the role will be to measure, design and process security fencing products to suit the customers’ requirements, on or off site. The successful applicant must also ensure these products are in-line with current compliance legislation. Also, will assist in achieving the company’s turnover/profit targets.

Key Accountabilities:

* To shadow and learn from internal and mobile design engineers

* Prepare designs for quotations under supervision

* Prepare drawings for manufacture under supervision

* Visit external sites under supervision

* Ensure designs are within budge by communicating with estimators

* Provide customers with details of what the company can supply to meet current legislation

* Customer Care ensuring the customers rely on Procter’s and seek every opportunity for further sales.

Health, Safety and Environmental:

Note: In addition to the above, all supervisors and managers have a duty of care to ensure that a safe place of work is maintained and that appropriate welfare facilities are provided. Also to ensure that all hazardous situations and possible hazardous conditions are identified and avoided. Staff must be briefed on the hazards likely to be presented, with the knowledge that the risks have been calculated, and must be informed of the controls required to mitigate those risks.
