Graduate Teaching Assistant/Learning Support Assistant

Are you a recent graduate with an interest in developing your experience in working with young people? Do you have a background in youth work, summer camps, sports clubs or simply personal experience of interacting with young students? Do you also have relevant experience or an interest in working with students with additional learning needs such as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Social, Emotional or Mental Health (SEMH) needs or PMLD (Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties)?

We require a number of Teaching Assistants and Learning Support Assistants for daily supply and contract work across Tower Hamlets. We are under contract with the Local Education Authority and have a high volume of bookings daily, so would be looking for local candidates for local work.

The schools we work with are primary, secondary and SEND specialist provisions. Graduates with a vested interest in working within schools are appealing to us and the schools we work with.

£70-90 per day
Immediate starts available

Requirements

A patient and understanding approach
An interest in working with young people
A resilient attitude
Existing DBS check on the update service- NEW DBS CHECKS CAN BE APPLIED FOR
Existing experience working with children or adults with SEND advantageous, but not required

Responsibilities

Assist and support with the development and learning of students within the school
Provide 1:1 and general support to students according to requirements for the day
Work alongside other teaching and support staff to ensure a safe and productive work environment is maintained
Be responsible for ensuring school policies are upheld including behaviour policies
