Senior Project Business Partner (Finance/Accounting)

Senior Project Business Partner – 12 Month FTC
Based Wythall, South Birmingham (B47)
Up to £60k + Car Allowance + Bonus

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Project Business Partner to join one of Britain’s Top Employers and the UK's largest specialist consolidator of closed life assurance funds. Based in our ServCo Performance team and reporting to the Project Reporting Manager, your role will focus on the management of all project financial processes for our Service Companies along with the allocation of the project costs to relevant Life company funds and profit and loss categorise.  

This influential role will involve:

- Being the primary support for all project forecasts, actuals, allocating these to relevant funds and relevant P&L categories
- Proactively working with project managers to determine and justify the appropriate funding allocations to support project business cases
- Supporting and challenging the project managers during the month end process, challenging journals and accruals requested by the project managers
- Working with the Projects Reporting Manager and appropriate Management Information and Planning teams to successfully implement the new detailed Financial Impact Assessment pack for all exiting and new projects 
- Providing project reporting, pricing, tracking and financial presentation of projects including understanding the drivers of the Service Company profit margins achieved by projects

Accustomed to delivering accurate outputs, on a right first time basis, you should be a fully qualified and commercially astute accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) preferably from a regulated background who can demonstrate: 

- Evidence of having worked alongside senior management in a cost focused/project environment, combined with the confidence to drive strong dialogue and get your viewpoint across 
- Excellent technical and systems know-how with experience of using TM1, Oracle and strong Excel skills
- Proven ability to quickly understand Life Company accounting and develop imaginative solutions in line with business parameters 
- Proven ability of working to tight deadlines, to high levels of accuracy and efficiency
