British Food and Drink
In the past British food has often been mocked by other nationalities as it is seen as boring, badly cooked and unhealthy. However, the days of overcooked meat, mushy veg and lumpy gravy are long gone.
Britain has countless traditional meals that are still cooked every day in homes and restaurants across the country. However, they are now made from fine fresh British ingredients and are prepared with skill and care (mostly).
You should try them all during your university stay regardless of how unusual they sound. After all, they say that:
“You should try everything once, twice if you like it, three times to make sure [… even haggis]” (Mae West).
